RX Austria & Germany, organiser of Austria's largest trade fair for holidays, travel and leisure, has decided in close consultation with the industry to cancel the "Ferien-Messe Wien", which was planned for 17th to 20th March 2022.
Ferien-Messe Wien has been rescheduled to Spring 2023
In March, the "Ferien-Messe Wien" was planning to celebrate its comeback together with the "Wohnen & Interieur" and the "Wiener Immobilien Messe". There was great anticipation and, most of all, the fair was considered hugely important for the industry. That being said though, the fact that planning security for exhibitors was more difficult this year means that there is no choice but to cancel the event. "After close consultation with exhibitors and partners, we have decided that the "Ferien-Messe Wien" will not take place again until 16-19 March 2023 at Messe Wien", says Barbara Leithner, COO of RX Austria & Germany. "Wohnen & Interieur", which was planned to coincide with the trade fair, will also be cancelled in 2022. "Wiener Immobilien Messe" will still take place on the originally planned date (19-20 March 22).
Decision made in close consultation with the industry
For exhibitors, participating in the "Ferien-Messe Wien" is associated with intensive and lengthy planning. "We can now guarantee our exhibitors will have enough time for this with the new date in March 2023", says Gerald Stainoch, Head of Sales for the Lifestyle, Hospitality & Care portfolio at RX Austria & Germany. "We look forward to the long-awaited revival in spring next year to offer both exhibitors and visitors a unique trade fair experience"

Trade fair triple act will go ahead in 2023
Despite this year's cancellation, visitors and exhibitors can look forward to new highlights next spring. "The reactions of the industry showed that combining the "Ferien-Messe Wien", the "Wohnen & Interieur" and the "Wiener Immobilien Messe" was the right decision", says Nicole Glöckl, Product Manager of the "Ferien-Messe Wien". Exhibitors in particular will benefit from these strong lifestyle fairs being run in parallel and we expect them to attract attention from a diverse audience and the media.”
